About our history
It all began in 2010, when five friends, united by their love and respect for the Amazon, decided to protect 45 hectares of forest next to the Taricaya Ecological Reserve (within the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve. a key biodiversity hotspot on our planet ). That first act of commitment gave rise to Amazon Planet Ecolodge: a place where travel becomes purpose and conservation a living experience shared with every guest. rainforest.
Purpose
Our purpose is to awaken consciousness through transformative travel experiences that reconnect people with nature while actively preserving the Amazon rainforest.
Amazon Planet works in direct partnership with the Taricaya Ecological Reserve, a conservation area dedicated to protecting biodiversity in Madre de Dios.
We are responsible for managing responsible tourism within Taricaya, and part of every stay directly supports its conservation projects.

Location
Rio Abajo Madre de Dios, Km 26 Tambopata, Puerto Maldonado, Perú. Direct flight Lima 1.45h and Cusco 45 min with LATAM and SKY AIR Bus from Cusco 9h with Excluciva (recommended) Bus from Puno 9h with Civa or Aguilas Flight via Cusco or Lima from Arequipa Once in Puerto Maldonado... You only need to worry about getting to Puerto Maldonado, we'll take care of the rest! Airport, bus terminal, or hotel pick-up and drop-off at our home office. Round-trip river transfers to the Lodge, a 1-1.5 hour journey on the Lower Madre de Dios River, 100% safe. It is best NOT to take the last arriving flight after 3pm or the first departing flights before 11am to avoid extra charges for private river transfers.
