Tribal Experience with Ese-Eja Native Elder

“A cultural transmission in which the knowledge, behavior patterns, cosmological beliefs and culture per se are communicated and acquired. ”

We receive the visit of our neighbor from the Ese-Eja indigenous people. We welcome Enrique in our farm circle at the Lodge. Speaking his native language and Spanish, he shares his life and stories about their ancestral customs, heritage and the true story of how Enrique’s grandfather and his tribe were forced out of the forest by missionaries back in 1945. (Approx. 1.5 hour)

Finally, you can have a one-to-one talk with Enrique (your guide will translate). Check out the handcrafts and biojewelry made by the women of this family, an important economic activity Esa Eja women maintain until today.

We encourage you to bring some soles and buy some of their work to support them and to take an original organic piece of art as a gift for you or your loved one.
